The Most Challenging Journey: From Hell To Heaven
The Most Challenging Journey: From Hell To Heaven
Ovarian cysts or tumors in the uterus or ovary are the most common problems with 7 out of 10 women. I was one of them. In 2019, it was detected that I had cysts in my uterus. As usual, I went to a famous Gynecologist for my treatment. According to him, it was curable by using medicines. The fact is that we, the general people, pretend all the doctors are next to God. As a result, my treatment moved on with him.
But after two years of treatment, my Doctor gave up and suggested surgery. I was completely ruined as it would remove my whole reproductive system, and the main upset part was I had no kid.
Journey Started In Vellore CMC:
After a long discussion with the whole family, relatives, and friends, we decided to go to Vellore, CMC. I applied for an emergency appointment in the Gyno department in CMC, and with my husband, I sat on the flight (of course, for the first time) and went to Vellore. As belonging to a middle-class family, it was a dream for us to sit on the flight, but at that time, I was not in the condition to cheer if dreams become reality. The reality at that time was terrific pain, excessive bleeding, and lots of tension.

When we reached the CMC, I was surprised to see so many people in such poor conditions. After completing a long protocol, ultimately, we were just outside the door of the Doctor. My heartbeats were missing their beats. After a painful manual and instrumental primary check ups, she suggested a lot of tests and a pain relief injection and gave the next appointment after three days.
Most Challenging Time For Me:

The reports brought more and more tension for us. It was a complete package of threatening conditions with "Adenomyosis of the uterus," "Adenomyosis uteri," "Chronic non specific cervicitis," and "Endometriosis of Ovary," with the most dangerous point, CA 125 report was above 3900. CA 125 tests indicate the Cancer stages. It is considered that 0-35 units/ml ranges are normal, but I touched 3900 units/ml. My Doctor suggested we consult with the ONCOLOGIST!
As we waited outside of the Oncologist's room, there were lots of patients beside me. To divert my mind from the tension, I began to talk to the lady on my left side. I came to know she was suffering from the 2nd stage of Cancer in her left ovary. The lady on the right side was a patient of 1st stage of uterine Cancer. In front of me, a teen girl was sitting with her parents, who was a patient with Cervical Cancer. Just think about my situation. I waited there for 2 hours, and in those two hours, I died two thousand times. Everything in front of me was blurry. I felt there was no oxygen to breathe in. Time was in slow motion. I felt almost 'Near Death Experience' for every single moment.
Success Of My Surgery:
But all the darkest nights end once. At last, it was my turn. After observing all the reports and performing some more manual examinations, the Doctor gave a delivery opinion. Due to Endometriosis of the Ovary, the CA 125 report was high. There were no symptoms of Cancer. Just hearing this, I fell unconscious. This was the most challenging part of the time I overcame throughout my whole treatment.
Due to a lack of manpower and the critical process discussed by the Doctor about my surgery, we decided to come back and be admitted to the UMA nursing home for surgery. Under the most kind Doctor, Dr. Nilabha Bhaduri's surgery was successful on the 14th of January 2023.

Though the surgery took three and half hours, and with 40 inside stitches and 18 outside stitches, it was successful without damaging other organs as expected by all the Doctors in Vellore and here. Ultimately, the Doctor removed a 1.9 kg Tumor and all that and the hope to be a mother forever.
New Life:
It was not only a challenge for me, but it was also the toughest fight for my family and me. Some lucky people get one more chance to survive, and I am one of them. It is not only about physical troubles but also a story of mental fights. I have always believed in God, but this time, Dr. Nilabha Bhaduri is the living God for me.
Challengers are the decoration of our lives, but some of them bring us the question of life or death. I learned from this chapter of my life to never give up; when I overcome this challenge, I can do anything.
